Sonhos de abóbora are Christmas pumpkin fritters, soft on the inside and golden on the outside.
Pumpkin adds colour, moisture and a mild flavour, creating light, festive fritters.
Ingredients
- 500 g cooked and well-drained pumpkin
- 250 g flour
- 3 eggs
- 80 g sugar
- Orange zest
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Oil for frying
- Sugar and cinnamon
Method
- Cook and squeeze the pumpkin well.
- Mix the pumpkin, eggs, sugar and zest.
- Add the flour and baking powder.
- Heat oil in a deep pan.
- Fry spoonfuls until golden.
- Roll in sugar with cinnamon.
